Flowers for Waite Park
A family, business or neighborhood could also sponsor a garden and volunteer to maintain it. We are always looking for more help. Scroll down to see more pictures of volunteers from our local businesses!
The volunteers meet the last Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the old Waite Park Public Works Facility, at 602 3rd St S, which is next to the Yard Waste Site located behind the former Gander Mountain store. New volunteers are always welcome to join them!
Contact our Landscaping and Volunteer Coordinator, Lorraine Russell, at (320)529-8640 if you are interested in volunteering.
See our Facebook page for more information about the monthly volunteer meetings.
Garden bed design contest
You are invited to submit your garden design for the plant bed located on the Healthy Living Trail at 6th Ave N and 3rd St N.
The bed to be designed is located in full sun. The center will be planted with tall Miscanthus (Silver Feather) Grass. You are invited to use the drawing on the below document to design the area around the center. Use an additional paper, if necessary, to include a key, or legend for your design.

Suggestions for your design:
- *Provide interest for all seasons
- *Easy maintenance is a big plus
- *Consider a mix of perennials and annuals
- *Plants need to be available locally
