Local Option Sales Tax

Waite Park businesses will need to collect an additional 0.375% Stearns County Sales and Use tax starting April 1, 2025.  Additionally, taxable items shipped into Waite Park, including all sales made using the internet, mail-order or telephone, will also be subject to the additional 0.375% sales and use tax effective April 1, 2025.

Voters approved a local option sales tax referendum in the November 2024 election. This referendum imposes an additional 0.375% sales tax in Stearns County effective April 1, 2025. Revenues generated by this tax will fully fund the construction of a new Stearns County Justice Center.

Waite Park voters approved a local option sales tax referendum in the November 2022 general election.  This referendum imposes an additional 0.5% sales tax in Waite Park effective April 1, 2023.  Revenues generated by this tax will fund the construction and equipping of a new Public Safety Facility in Waite Park.
