The city requested proposals from executive search firms to assist with the hiring process for Public Works Director and Fire Chief.  There were three search firms that submitted proposals.  All three will be presenting at the work session.  Each firm will have 30 minutes to present their proposal and to answer any questions council may have regarding their proposal.  The following schedule is as follows:

4:00 PM:  MGT will be presenting in person 

4:30 PM:  SGR will be presenting remotely

5:00 PM:  South Central MN Cooperative will be presenting in person

5:30 PM:  Discussion with council and staff

Copies of the proposals will be available at the meeting for review.  Council will have the option to select one of these firms to move forward as part of the regular council meeting portion of the meeting.

Staff has been discussing 2026 projects with the council and options for funding these projects.  Staff would like to follow up on these funding options and the processes that would be required for them to move forward.  This includes 23rd Avenue South, Sundial Drive, and 10th Avenue South.  Staff has discussed all of these projects previously and would like to provide some additional options for some on the improvements and determine the direction the city council would like to go moving forward.  More information will be presented at the meeting.
