How do I get a copy of a police report?

Copies of police reports can be requested in person at the Waite Park Police Department or by emailing records@ci.waiteparkpd.mn.us. Reports will be ready in about 7-10 days.

When requesting a police report, please explain what information you are looking for. If you know the case number, please include it in your request. If you would like reports related to a specific person or address, please provide as much information as you can.

You may be charged a fee for the information you are requesting. Report fees are $0.25 per page. Pictures and copies of CDs are extra.

Only public information will be released without a signed release from the person named in the report.

Active cases will not be released from our office. You will need to contact the City or County Attorney who is working the case and make the request through their office.
